15 Signs that a guy likes you more than a friend

Recently my friends have been asking me about relationship advice and it seems that Erikson's theory of Intimacy vs Isolation is right. People at the age of 20-39 do look for companionship or else become isolated. How do you know if a guy likes you? These are 15 signs that I personally experience repeatedly and are likely to be accurate. I also did a quick sketch.

1. He remembers the small details about you.
He might say that he has seen you wearing this dress before because usually people don't remember what they wear on whichever days. He also remembers what you like and dislike and hence would buy your favourite food to make you happy. I said that I liked the cheese fries from that particular stall and he actually bought it for me to eat.

2. The way he talks to you is different from other friends.
Ever notice when a guy speaks softer and pays more attention to you when you are speaking? Guys change their tone when they are speaking to a girl he likes.

3. He tries to get close to you.
Ever notice the cute moment when both of your shoulders touches or hands accidentally hitting each other? These physical contacts are not accidental at all.

4. He maintains direct eye contact with you.
His constant eye contact with you shows that you are his main attention and not his phone. His eyes would brighten and his pupils would dilate as he is showing interest.

5. He gets jealous about you dating guys.
If he hears that you are dating another guy and responds negatively, he likes you and probably would feel hurt. He would say things like "You don't look genuinely happy in this photo with him." or "Why is this guy so bad?"

6. He checks on your social media.
He would watch and like your Instagram, Facebook, Carousell posts and stories. If you post something new, he would notice and may even ask questions about it.

7. He is generous with you.
He might try to treat you with food or bubble tea drink. He would also buy you gifts or give you Grab rides back home.

8. He makes sure that you arrive home safely.
He would specially offer himself to send you home even when both of you live far apart.

9. He respects you and is honest with you.
He respects your opinions and choices even when they are different from his. He accepts who you are and your dislikes, flaws and annoying habits.

10. He compliments you and asks if you are single.
This is the most obvious sign and he might even say that he is in love at first sight with you. He may say that you are attractive looking and he has a good feeling about you.

11. He sends you a text when he wakes up in the morning.
He would send a simple good morning text because he thinks of you first thing in the morning. He may also initiates texting you and gives you quick replies.

12. He would try to bring you out for a 1 on 1 date.
He would ask if you are interested to go for this concert, movie, workshop or fun activities such as ice-skating. He may invite other people along to show to you that others are coming but end up only both of you are coming.

13. He goes out his way to help you.
He would help you with your problems, homework and get items that you need. I lost my dual female type c cable adapter and I went from stores to stores to find if they sell. Hearing that, he offered to ask his friends whether they have any way to find the adapter.

14. He is not in a relationship with other girls.
This is because he wants to be with you. He signals that he is single, ready and available.

15. He mirrors how you talk or your actions.
He might start using similar slangs that you use and talk at a similar pace with you. When you drink water, he also drinks water.

These are the 15 signs and I hope you enjoyed this read. What is next after knowing that he likes you? You can choose whether to accept or reject his advances.

How to prepare for NUS QET (Qualifying English Test)

I'm sharing my study tips because I could not find much before I did the test. There were no useful guides in helping me in QET test back then in 2018 so I thought of writing this blog post.  What is NUS QET? It is an English essay test which tests your English proficiency. The paper is 1h 30min long and it takes place at NUS on a single day. Who takes NUS QET? Those who got D and below for Alevels General Paper (that's me!), polytechnic and foreign students. I scored well in GP in school but I didn't do well in Alevels. I got an E for Alevels. Why take NUS QET? You must take QET to graduate from the school and complete English modules if you fail the test. Why you should pass QET? This is because there are a lot of people bidding for the English module and as a newbie, you would not have enough points to compete with those seniors. Taking an English module also disallows you from taking other electives because it can overload your MCs. How's my result? ...

Prima Deli Pandan Waffles Recipe

My favorite waffles are Prima Deli's Waffles. It's soft, addictive, and smells so fragrant so I am trying to find the recipe. Coconut milk is crucial to making pandan waffles so do get coconut milk!  1. Youtube Vasudevan Suganthi 1 1/2 cup plain flour  3/4 cup caster sugar  1 1/2 tsp baking powder  1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 3 tbsp butter pandan paste 200ml coconut milk  My verdict: It does taste similar to Prima deli's waffles but it is not as fluffy or soft.  Something seems lacking.  page views as of 6/8/23 I ate my waffles with chopsticks out of convenience 😂 Tell me that you are Asian without telling me you are Asian 2. How to prepare for NUS Nursing Interview

page views as of 6/8/23 Hello prospective nurses, so you want to be a nurse? It may have been a difficult decision to be a nurse and hence I would like to help you and share tips on how to prepare for this interview.  For those currently studying in poly and Alevel, study well so you will not have to go for this interview.  What are the chances of entering NUS Nursing?  Most people think that Nursing is very easy to get in because of the low IGP score and nurses are in high demand. As long as you are sincere, it is high likely that you get in. If your IGP is below 10 percentile, no worries because you can still get in.  Fun Fact: In 2017, there were 2200 applications and 235 people were accepted into the course. This is  10.6% of the people who applied. Nus Nursing acceptance rate thus is 10.6% but it is expected to rise due to the high demand for nurses.  When was the interview? I was scheduled for a nursing interview in the first week of A...
