15 Signs that a girl likes you more than a friend

As some of you have requested, this post is out! A girl may like you today but she may not like you the next day. She doesn't want to be seen as an easy prey and hence she gives you mixed signals, so how do you know if a girl likes you or you are being friend-zoned? Most girls prefer to be chased so if you are not picking up these signals, she may stop being interested in you.

1. She keeps talking to you almost every day.
The more both of you talk, the more likely she likes you. If she gives you one-word responses, then that is not good because she is not interested in you. The conversation should last at least 1 hour long, especially when it stretches to late-night conversations. Do take note that sometimes she may take longer to reply because she doesn't want to be seen as the 'keen' one. I sometimes purposely reply slower because I don't want to look needy.

2. She specially dresses up so she can look her best.
If a girl who normally wears t-shirt and jeans but starts to wear feminine or sexy clothes, she wants you to see her as attractive. Not every girl is comfortable with wearing dresses and heels so if she does make the effort to look pretty, she likes you. However, if she has a habit of dressing up, it is harder to see whether she is dressing up for herself or for you.

3. She smiles and laughs with you a lot, even at your lame jokes.
Even when your joke or story is not that funny, she will still find it funny and entertaining to listen. If she thinks your jokes are dumb and tells you to stop, she is not interested in you.

4. She says yes when you ask her out.
A girl who likes you is not going to hesitate going out on a date with you. Even if she is busy, she will try to reschedule and make time for you. If she says she is not interested in going out, then she is clearly not interested in you. You successfully asked her out but she asked who is also going or tries to invite a third wheel along, it is clear that you are in the friend zone. If she has always treated you as a bro, then yes she is likely to go out with you but she may not want any romantic interest.

5. She tries to make you jealous.
If a girl tells you that other guys are asking her out, she is mainly trying to tell you that she is very attractive and popular. She actually wants you to ask her out instead.

6. She cannot stand another girl around you.
Girls tend to compete with each other and she will be bothered if there is another girl around you. Whenever I see a girl talking to the guy I like, my face automatically goes sullen even if she is just a friend.

7. She does not move away when both of you accidentally touches shoulders or hands.
Girls are very sensitive to touch so if she likes you, she will not move away. If she friend zones you, she will move further away and even put her bag in between both of you. A girl would hold hands with you if she is interested in you, if not she would rather hold your wrist if she needs help.

8. She puts her phone away when you are around.
Girls always have their phones around scrolling for new clothes or Instagram. If you find that she is not using her phone and she is giving her undivided attention to you, it means that she is very interested in you.

9. She uses the word "we" and not "bro".
It is a big deal when she starts using the word "we" because she uses it consciously and sees both of you as a couple. If she calls you bro, you are being friend-zoned.

10. She picks up a common interest.
If she tries to engage in a hobby that you are passionate about, she must have really like you to make the effort to learn what you are interested in. I like photography too but I took a step further to buy a DSLR and join a photography club because I want to learn more about his interest.

11. She plays with her hair.
Girls unknowingly twirl their hair when they get nervous around the guy she likes.

12. She asks you about the future.
She would ask personal questions like how many children do you want, your general beliefs, hobbies and future career plans. She wants to know if you are boyfriend material and if you have very different beliefs from her, she will quickly lose interest in you.

13. She does not talk about other hot guys when you are around.
Most girls like to discuss about the latest handsome guy she has even seen. If she tells you who is her crush, you are being friend-zoned.

14. She secretly stalks your profile and checks if you are checking her out.
Instead of asking whether you are single, she would check your Instagram or Facebook profile to see whether you are single. She would also check her Instastories and see whether you viewed her Instastory. I think guys won't be able to see this unless she accidentally likes a photo.

15. She glows.
When she is with someone she likes, she looks healthier and happier. Her eyes sparkles, her cheeks rise when she smiles and her eyes wrinkles.

What's next? As I said, most girls prefer being chased so if you like her, do try to tell funny stories, jokes or ask her out to an interesting event and see how she responds. Sure that there are many other signs but these are best 15 signs that I think are the most accurate.

How to prepare for NUS QET (Qualifying English Test)

I'm sharing my study tips because I could not find much before I did the test. There were no useful guides in helping me in QET test back then in 2018 so I thought of writing this blog post.  What is NUS QET? It is an English essay test which tests your English proficiency. The paper is 1h 30min long and it takes place at NUS on a single day. Who takes NUS QET? Those who got D and below for Alevels General Paper (that's me!), polytechnic and foreign students. I scored well in GP in school but I didn't do well in Alevels. I got an E for Alevels. Why take NUS QET? You must take QET to graduate from the school and complete English modules if you fail the test. Why you should pass QET? This is because there are a lot of people bidding for the English module and as a newbie, you would not have enough points to compete with those seniors. Taking an English module also disallows you from taking other electives because it can overload your MCs. How's my result? ...

page views as of 6/8/23 Hello prospective nurses, so you want to be a nurse? It may have been a difficult decision to be a nurse and hence I would like to help you and share tips on how to prepare for this interview.  For those currently studying in poly and Alevel, study well so you will not have to go for this interview.  What are the chances of entering NUS Nursing?  Most people think that Nursing is very easy to get in because of the low IGP score and nurses are in high demand. As long as you are sincere, it is high likely that you get in. If your IGP is below 10 percentile, no worries because you can still get in.  Fun Fact: In 2017, there were 2200 applications and 235 people were accepted into the course. This is  10.6% of the people who applied. Nus Nursing acceptance rate thus is 10.6% but it is expected to rise due to the high demand for nurses.  When was the interview? I was scheduled for a nursing interview in the first week of A...
