SYIP Cafe Food Review

It's been long since I visited a cafe with my friends! This cafe looks very minimalistic and new. The food is good too! These mains were shared among the 4 of us.  1. My favourite main: Creamy Chicken Scrambled Egg Croissant ($16) +soft buttery scrambled eggs  +creamy mushroom with chicken bits (looks like swiss mushrooms) +crispy and soft croissant (I think it came cut into 4 pieces?) +I think all these three ingredients complement well with each other! +My friends like this dish too -bits of baby spinach  Taste Verdict: 5/5  Price Verdict: 4.5/5 The stars beside the menu means is their signature. We ordered the burrata open-faced toast, ikura kombu capellini and mentaiko fries.  The coffee bean means it has caffeine. We ordered the dirty matcha, black sesame latter and oolong tea.  2. B urrata open-faced toast ($22) - sourdough bread (yes I guessed correctly that it was sourdough bread because of a slight sour taste, though my friends doubt so. The brea...

I have just finished my exams and here I'm writing module reviews because of some recent changes. This is for people considering which Unrestricted Electives or General Education Modules to take. Prima Deli Pandan Waffles Recipe

My favorite waffles are Prima Deli's Waffles. It's soft, addictive, and smells so fragrant so I am trying to find the recipe. Coconut milk is crucial to making pandan waffles so do get coconut milk!  1. Youtube Vasudevan Suganthi 1 1/2 cup plain flour  3/4 cup caster sugar  1 1/2 tsp baking powder  1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 3 tbsp butter pandan paste 200ml coconut milk  My verdict: It does taste similar to Prima deli's waffles but it is not as fluffy or soft.  Something seems lacking.  page views as of 6/8/23 I ate my waffles with chopsticks out of convenience 😂 Tell me that you are Asian without telling me you are Asian 2. Sherbakes Pandan Waffles 125g all-purpose flour  50g caster sugar  2tsp baking powder  1/8 tsp salt  1 egg 1/2 tsp green pandan taste  200ml coconut milk  60g unsalted butter (melted) My verdict: This taste differs much from Prima Deli's waffles. The mixture is thick and viscous but Prima deli's waffles mix...

White Restaurant Food Review - Famous White Bee Hoon

My father was craving for white bee hoon so we went to the IMM outlet. I don't usually eat white bee hoon but this was worth trying.  The white bee hoon tastes like Hokkien mee but Hokkien mee has yellow noodles while this is only White Been Hoon. It was served hot and each mouthful was very flavourful.  We got the large size for 3 people which cost $18 . You can choose the small size or medium size too.  We got the meat and seafood roll for $13.80. You can also call it  Xia Zao (Shrimp Ball 虾枣).  I usually eat this during Chinese New Year. The process to make these rolls is very tedious so I don't mind ordering it. It was crispy and meaty but was a bit pricey for 10 rolls .  We also ordered the homemade fried beancurd for $12.80 .  It has a crispy batter that tastes like the yam ring but it can be jelak. The beancurd paste is mixed with carrot, sotong, and veggie which gives a very potato-like taste. However, it has sotong so my vegetarian siste...

O.BBa Jjajang Food Review - My favourite Jajangmyeon Spot

Whenever I am craving for jajangmyeon , I would come to O.BBa Jjajang to have it and this is my 4th time coming here. They have three outlets, two at Tanjong Pagar and one at Bukit Timah and I have tried both outlets. Jajangmyeon is a Korean take-out and it is usually eaten when you are moving to a new house or on Singles day.  Here I am the Bukit Timah outlet and I ordered the jajangmyeon ($12++) as usual. I also ordered the  gyeran jjim (steam eggs) ($5++ ) as I was craving for it too. My friend ordered the Dolpnbibimbam (Hot Stone Bibimbap) ($15++ ).  Jajangmyeon ($12++) +chewy noodles +bits of pork +comparatively better than other places that I have tried  +not jelak +sweet earthy taste +to eat with Danmuji -lots of onions  Gyeran jjim (steam eggs) ($5++ )  +nice, soft and fluffy +great for sharing  -charred at the bottom The best part of O.BBa Jjajang is that they have a wide variety of side dishes. Their kimchi was so succulent and wait wh...
