NUS Module Review: GEH1049 Public Health, GEH1074 Luck, GET1020 Darwin

I have just finished my exams and here I'm writing module reviews because of some recent changes. This is for people considering which Unrestricted Electives or General Education Modules to take. Usually, the people who survived the module would write module reviews, please do note that there are also non-survivors and do choose wisely! (anthropic bias). I took 3 GEs in this semester with 31MCs overload. These UEs are ok/easy to score As.  page views as of 6/8/23 1.  GEH1049/GEC1015 Public Health in Action AY21/22 Sem 1 Assessment Components and Weightage  4MCs  Group Assignments 1 15% Group Assignment 2 20% Graded Peer Review 5% Research Skills Quiz 5% Week 9  Public Health Lecture Quiz 15% Week12 Final Assignment 40% Week 11-13 +Lectures were pre-recorded and you can enjoy watching them in your free time. +There were no tutorials. -The lecture content would be tested in the Week 12 Quiz, unlike the previous years.  The group assignments and the final...

Prima Deli Pandan Waffles Recipe

My favorite waffles are Prima Deli's Waffles. It's soft, addictive, and smells so fragrant so I am trying to find the recipe. Coconut milk is crucial to making pandan waffles so do get coconut milk!  1. Youtube Vasudevan Suganthi 1 1/2 cup plain flour  3/4 cup caster sugar  1 1/2 tsp baking powder  1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 3 tbsp butter pandan paste 200ml coconut milk  My verdict: It does taste similar to Prima deli's waffles but it is not as fluffy or soft.  Something seems lacking.  page views as of 6/8/23 I ate my waffles with chopsticks out of convenience 😂 Tell me that you are Asian without telling me you are Asian 2. Sherbakes Pandan Waffles 125g all-purpose flour  50g caster sugar  2tsp baking powder  1/8 tsp salt  1 egg 1/2 tsp green pandan taste  200ml coconut milk  60g unsalted butter (melted) My verdict: This taste differs much from Prima Deli's waffles. The mixture is thick and viscous but Prima deli's waffles mix...

Keisuke Hamburg Steak Food Review

My friend wanted to try this hamburg steak so we went together after her exams! I totally came to try the free-flow eggs, salads, and desserts . It was a 3 minutes walk away from Tanjong Pagar exit A. We were offered the VIP private seats because those seats were available for 1 hour. We came at 12.30pm on Saturday and there was no queue.  I got the  Triple Cheese Prime Beef Hamburg ($22.90) , consisting of cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. +teriyaki mayonnaise sauce was great to pair with the Hamburg +creative idea of combining these three types of cheese together +ebi, tofu, aburaage, miso soup which makes this set worth it  +complimentary 15ml kewpie sauce packet +served on a hotplate -mild cheese taste, would want a stronger cheese taste -room temperature because the server had to serve everyone first -miso soup was mediocre -not impressive as compared to the one I had at Pepper Lunch -didn't realise I'm supposed to dip my Hamburg into the teriyaki sauce ...

Atlas Coffeehouse Cafe Review

Came back here with my friend to try its Butterscotch banana pancakes! We took the bar seats.  ATLAS means At-Land-Air-Sea which explains for its white and blue walls.  This is the brunch menu and apparently, some food prices have increased.   These were the butterscotch banana pancakes that we tried! It cost $19.80.  It consists of banana, butterscotch sauce, cornflake crunchies, and vanilla ice cream.  +fluffy dense large pancakes +crispy cornflakes +cold vanilla ice cream  +sweet butterscotch sauce  -too much for one person so good to share with 2-3 people  -can be too sweet for people who don't eat sweets  -bananas taste a bit unripe  -need to eat faster because the ice cream is melting  -pancakes are cooked on a skillet and cooled down before putting on the ice cream How to make it? Butterscotch sauce is made with brown sugar, unsalted butter, heavy cream, salt, and vanilla extract.  The pancakes are most proba...
