Brotherbird Coffeehouse Cafe Review

Throwback to my cafe hopping to Brotherbird Coffeehouse! The cafe was named 'bird' because the cafe owner was nicknamed bird. It reopened again in January 2021 so I asked my friend if she wanted to come as she was a fan of their croissants. That day, she saw that the croissants did not look that appetizing so we got other dishes instead.  The cafe looked grey-minimalist and was simply decorated. I preferred the window seats as it would give better lighting for my photos but we were seated near the stairs.  1. Signature Mochi Donut ($15) +my first time trying mochi donut +refreshing cookie butter soft serve paired with the donut  +crunchy almond flakes -weird chewy texture -easily jelak -jaw gets tired from chewing  -ice cream melts fast  How to make it? Mochi is made with glutinous rice flour, water, and sugar.   The mochi in this dish was much chewier than the mochi I made.  2. Carbonara Spaghetti carbonara, poached eggs, garlic chips, bacon...

Keisuke Hamburg Steak Food Review

My friend wanted to try this hamburg steak so we went together after her exams! I totally came to try the free-flow eggs, salads, and desserts . It was a 3 minutes walk away from Tanjong Pagar exit A. We were offered the VIP private seats because those seats were available for 1 hour. We came at 12.30pm on Saturday and there was no queue.  I got the  Triple Cheese Prime Beef Hamburg ($22.90) , consisting of cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. +teriyaki mayonnaise sauce was great to pair with the Hamburg +creative idea of combining these three types of cheese together +ebi, tofu, aburaage, miso soup which makes this set worth it  +complimentary 15ml kewpie sauce packet +served on a hotplate -mild cheese taste, would want a stronger cheese taste -room temperature because the server had to serve everyone first -miso soup was mediocre -not impressive as compared to the one I had at Pepper Lunch -didn't realise I'm supposed to dip my Hamburg into the teriyaki sauce ...

Baristart Coffee Singapore Cafe Review

We waited 45minutes for our seats!  This shows that this cafe is very popular. While waiting, we went to the nearby Icon Village to explore. “Baristart” means barista, start, and art. I like this photo more than the one I posted on Instagram but I posted the latter because my friend likes the latter more. Let me know if this photo is better so I can do a repost.  We ordered the popular raved cream puff ($6) .  +creamy, light, milky, flowy filling  +one of the best cream puffs I ever tried  +such cream puffs are very difficult to make and this cream puff is carefully mastered +worth the price and effort +hard crispy exterior crust (ASMR sound) +dash of powdered sugar to make it look pretty -pricy because cream puffs normally cost $2, it cost $4.50 in 2019 -share with 1-2 more friends would make this puff worth it  How to make it? I have made cream puffs before and it is split into 3 parts: Craquelin, choux pastry, and vanilla cream filling.  [Baki...
